  • The CBC operation dealt with the development of the Eurodistrict of Bâle that includes 226 municipalities for a total of more than 829.000 inhabitants.
    Its territory includes the Local Authorities of the trinational Basel agglomeration involved in cross-border cooperation. The Eurodistrict includes the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft, the Fricktal Regio Planungsverband in the canton of Aargau and the municipality of Witterswil in the canton of Solothurn (Switzerland); the municipalities of landkreis Lörrach and the municipalities of Wehr and Bad-Säckingen in the landkreis of Waldshut-Tiengen (Germany); the three Municipalities of the Pays de Saint-Louis (France).
