In the frame on the Hungarian Presidency of Council of Europe was held n 10 November 2021 the ceremonial final conference of Best Practices of Local Governments and European Label of Governance Excellence Progamme.
Through the hybrid event the best performances, new and innovative local solutions were introduced by the Hungarian local governments.
The ceremonial event was held in the frame of two programmes of Council of Europe: Best Practices and ELoGE implementation. The awards were provided in all areas with the support of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology:- Innovations of Local Governments
- Good Local Governments practices in crime prevention and public safetyGood practices in the municipal care for the elderly
- Good practice in social inclusion
The Local Government Best Pracices Programme was organised through six activities:
- Preparation of the BPP implementation
- Publishing, dissemination of the call, collecting the applications
- Evaluation of the application
- Final conference and competition of presentations
- Prizes and winners
- Management, coordination and communication
The Local Government Best Pracices Programme invoved several target groups:
- Citizens
- NGOs
- Local and regional governments
- Expert
- Government bodies
- International organisations
As a part of the Programme in 2021, he Steering Commitee expected proven good municipa practices that could benefit other municipalities in relaunching after the pandemic, regardless of whether they were invented and tested during or before pandemic.
